indoor growing of Marijuana

The "grass" grower tunes in with the balance of nature to go about growing his plants. He takes care of : light, nutrition, irrigation, ventilation and a safe quite location. The grow space needs to be ± 2 m. high, attic’s are good, except in the summer it sometimes gets to hot and it is more easy to heath a place than to cool one down, and when it is too hot, you can’t use your lamps full time. The cellar is more easy to organize as far as temperature goes but they sometimes are too humid. Make sure that the power supply is adequate and to use a good compost mix.

The exterior growers know about bio manure .It’s the same for interior, only plants in a good compost mix and with bio manure give good results. The difference between plants, with ore without good compost and bio manure, is plain to see and to taste. Don’t use stone-wool it provokes cancer.

Make sure that your floor is water-proof (it’s easy to have water problems !). Paint the walls white ore cover them with U.V. resistant white plastic. Condemn all windows. Take care that there’s enough ventilation and see that air in put is big enough not to stress the aspirator unit. With a thermostat and a timer device you can assure a regular ventilation. When the lamps are functioning temperature rises and the thermostat starts up the ventilation. Hot air is evacuated several times in an hour. Use ventilator to keep air moving. If possible you can blow hot air the roots (not more than 20º - 25º max.). Beware at night not les than 18º, if necessary install heating with thermo-stat.

Best is "high pressure Natrium lamps" they are like neon’s with a starter, a transformer and a condenser. As neon is generally 36 watt, high pressure Natrium lamps can go from 250 watt to 1.000 watt.

Specially for the marijuana culture they developed a system to avoid heath accumulation by taking the Pre-interrupter, transformer and condenser a part from the lamp and putting them out side the grow space. So that only the lamp are hanging over the plants. This make’s it more easy to manipulate the lamps, something you’ll have to regularly. The Natrium lamps give a strong yellow light just what plants need. Low pressure lamps give white light and are not efficient. There are also Mercury lamps with the right light but they have a low output and a high cost in energy. There for they’re not used anymore.

The neon armatures can be used to root the clones, even to grow the plants, if you don’t expect to much, but they don’t give enough light to do the trick and don’t bring the plants to bloom in the right way. And it’s light is only efficient at 30 cm. distance. They are not expensive and you can color, replace the lamps once a tear (2 to 3 harvest’s). And old lamp gives only 50 % of the light without us noticing it.

One lamp of 400 watt for 1 m², gives 40.000 Lumen (15 to 30 plants ± 300 to 500 gr.). A lamp of 600 watt on the same surface gives ± 150 gr. more output, gives 80.000 Lumen, enough for 1,2 m² (20 to 40 plants). A lamp of 1.000 watt gives 130.000 Lumen for 1,6 m² (25 to 60 plants). It is more economic to use two lamps of 600 watt than one of 1.000 watt.

Compost Mix and Irrigation

As in exterior culture, the best results are had by using bio manure, the compost does not contain enough manure.

This is what we’re going to do:

The compost mix:

4 parts of black sand
1 part of dig peat
1 part of vermiculite
1 part of perlite

Best is to prepare the mixture a fore hand in a recipe, so that it can ferment, even heat-up, this stimulates the necessary bacteria's, once you get used to the measures, stick to using the same system. There’s a ready to mix for sale at Bazaar.

When you don’t use chemical manure, you can throw the used compost in the garden, it can be used later. It is not true that when we re-use used compost mix, we get parasites. We all know that, sooner ore later, we’ll have to deal with parasites. More information further-on.

Phosphor, an important manure for the blooming, is only efficient when the continence of P.H. acid is not inferior than 7,5 (important !). Put a little vinegar in your water to adjust the P.H. There exist an electronic P.H. meter, quite cheap.

Some people us a fish emulsion to stimulate growth. But that stinks! For an explosive growth we can make our own bio-bloom mixture : Phosphate, bone powder and water, if the P.H. is neutral. It can used limitless.

Don’t give water every day but do as nature, give a lot and than let it dry for moment, control the humidity every day. It is a good idea to have a water container installed just a bit higher than the table. This way the water has a steady temperature (± 25º). You can "Aquarium thermostat" in combination with a circulation pump, as we ad oxygen, the chlorinate evaporates from water.

To Sow

Sowing : 4 x the size of plantation.

The quality of marijuana varies a lot, we take 4 times the seeds for the space cause we just want to keep the female plants. The art of grass growing is knowing how to recognize female plants as soon as possible. All plants that are not perfect ore males hove to go. You can also buy guaranteed female seeds, a bit more expensive but more comfortable.

Select only good looking seeds, put them in a cup with water (change water every day) 15 – 20º is perfect. You can also put the seeds in to wet tissue or pads, cover them with alum-foil, make a few holes for ventilation, leave it for a few days, take care that it does not dry out. When the little white root has (2 to 3 cm.), put it in the ground 1 cm. deep. When we use a good mix you can put the seeds straight in to it, it is still the best way. How to make Clones and keep Motherplants

Young plants have les resistance to light than plants in bloom. Place the reflector at max. 1 m. and min. 60 cm. other wise the plants will grow up quickly without making roots. A tip to find out the right height : when the shadow is clean cut, you are too close.

Make a table water proof with plastic ore linoleum put the mother plant’s on it, under the lamps 18 hours of light a day, this will set of new growths, and when they are big enough you put one clone in each pot and you move them to the blooming space.

Cut the mother plant when it become 20 cm. high, you must right where the new stems grow. When you do this regularly, the plant becomes a sort of Bonzaï with a lot of stems witch will become new buts that you’ll have to cut. Natrium lamps function better than Neon. The out fit has to be renewed 3 to 5 month’s.

If you keep the mother plants in the grow space it is best to make a separation for the incubator where you pre-root the clones. To do this you put 2 water proof Neon tubes full-time color nº 33, make sure the space is well ventilated. Put a layer of frigo-lite on the table cover with water proof plastic than 5 cm. of black sand, install a heating cable zig zag in the sand, connect with thermostat, make it al good humid and set the temperature on 25º.

In gardening we use recipe’s in frigo-lite to start of new plants. Mix the compost with a little perlit, put little pots of dig peat Ø 4 cm. in this mixture, full up these "Jiffy’s" with compost make a few holes and make the whole good wet.

We use a sharp knife or scissors to cut the stem and put it in the little pot carefully, the perlit will escape through the little holes and come in contact with the wet sand bed. Give water after 2 weeks if necessary. After 3 weeks the clones have roots and you can start collecting the nice specimen’s.

Bringing Plants to Bloom

To grow marijuana it takes minimum 18 hours of light a day. It goes like this : 1 to 4 weeks of growing until they reach 30 – 40 cm. of night. Then they will be ready in ± 8 weeks, in average 4 harvest’s a year for each m2, but if we use the big lamps full time it can be 6 times.

Normally we harvest 400 gr. for 1 m2, but the first year it is possible that it’ll be only 50 %, the specialist can grow 800 gr. on 1 m2 thanks to the right methods, a big harvest indicates a good system.

It is good to plan a for-hand how much you want to grow, take in account energy cost, lamps, manure, with a good planning you’ll need les space than you’d think.

You can make a table of beton-plex made water proof, border it of (25 in 30 cm.) to keep the pots in place. When we use pots of 7 liters 15 x 15 x 20 cm. we will have more work, every pot takes separate attention. Balcony backs are more simple to give water bit it complicates selecting the bad ones from the good ones.

The best is, in the ground with a tube full of holes to ventilate the roots, than ad a layer of "hydro granulates" ore perlit (the tube has to covered). Next we as a layer of 25 cm. of compost mix and we can plant 15 to 30 plants on 1 m_, now a good irrigation. The advantage of plain ground cultivating is that is simple it is more easy to irrigation but more difficult to replace slow plants.

When they bloom, plants sop to use the nutrition for the leaves they put everything in the flowers. Especially the skunk type plants, they develop a gray fur-like substance witch is normal, it is best to cut the leaves that turn yellow.

The Sapwood mite: can be eliminated by an other mite "Phytosylius Persimilis"

The are very small insects: the white fly and the fruit fly: 1,5 mm., the Trips: 1 mm., the Sapwood mite: 0,5 mm.

You can order the insect eggs in Belgium, Holland and Germany. It is distributes by the post, we pay via an order-cart that you can buy at Bazaar. It is best to put the eggs immediately with the plants, don’t try to keep them.

Home made insecticide:

Easy to make, ecologic. Put a few drops of dish wash product, and a few drops of alcohol, in water, dip the plants shortly in it you can also use a vaporizer, this eliminates the insects but not the eggs, so you’ll have to repeat regularly. There is a ready for use spray for sale at Bazaar. Don’t use chemical insecticides, the bring problems and bring down the quality.

How to make Hasj

When we harvest and collect the flowers a lot of resin comes of resin comes of. This is lost unless we use a hash filter, the resin particles pas through the filter and are separated from the leaves.

To clean the flowers of indoor grown plants is best done by hand cause the flowers are more compact. You’ll see that your hands become very sticky and when we collect the sticky substance we’ll have a very good hash (hand rub) and you’ll understand how the Nepalese and Afghan hash is made, they simply rub the flowers, gather the pollen and than press it by hand. Hmmm!!!!

When the cleaning is finished, you’ll see that filter is covered with powder, pressed this becomes the "A" quality. We let dry the rest of the leave particles, we put them on the filter and we softly hit the skin of the filter and we get the "B" quality.

And when we dry and cut up the big leaves and filter that, we get the "C" quality. We harvest 2 – 3 x more "C" quality than "A" and " B" quality. In country’s like Morocco, Libyan, etc. they establish the price according to the quality of "C" quality mixed in the hash. The "C" quality is difficult to press, there for they ad oil to make it stick better. Best is not to smoke the leaves and make butter, cake whith it.

the "A" and "B" quality are easy to press. A fine way is the Turkish way. Using natural cellophane what we used in the old days to cover jam, fruit etc., this cellophane let trough air and humidity, we can glue it whit water. Ply a little sack 15 x 7,5 cm., fill? It up, close it, glue it, they have to look like small sausage bread, , than you envelope them tightly in new paper make it wet, and put it in a hot pan until the news paper becomes black, take it out of the pan and press it, you can use a bottle and roll over it up and forth ore stand on it with your foot, and there is the hydraulic press. how to make Marijuana Butter

The big leaves are OK to make grass-butter, but you can ad a few flowers if you want.

What gives the high is the T.H.C., it doesn't dissolve in water but clings to animal grease and that’s the trick, you take 4 time the weight of the leaves that we are going to boil (for one hour). Than ad the butter and leave it on a small fire for an other hour.

Filter it and put the liquid in a recipe, make sure you get all the grease. You can keep this quite a long time in the fridge. Also a simple way is: cut up 3 gr. of big leaves (very fine), melt the butter in a "Marie bath" than ad the leaves and stir.

You can put it on your toast or make a cake, take care that when you're not used to it, to test it with a small quantity (3 gr. a dose and person). This way you only use the T.H.C. and not the other elements of the plants.

When we smoke a joint, the effect is immediately but when we eat the T.H.C. the effect is felt only after ± one hour and when it’s there we can’t do anything to calm ore stop it, so when you eat hash cake for the first time, it is best try one and wait to see before taking an other. The effect of the cake can last for hours and can be quite spectacular but never dangerous, never some one direct of too much marijuana, to do that one should eat 1 m_ of grass. In case some one was eating too much cake, just re-assure him and tell him that can happen is that you vomit. Ore fall a sleep, don’t panic.

Eating marijuana is very efficient, when you smoke a joint 80 to 90 % is lost, when you eat it you absorb everything . some people don’t feel the effect the first few times they smoke ore eat, the reason is that, the marijuana stimulates the body to produce the elements that make you trip and it takes sometimes some time before the body adapt it’s self. But once it works, it works, and that’s why an experienced smoker don’t need to smoke as much as a first timer to get high.

Cannabis and it's possibilities

The reason that the plant and it’s side products are kept illegal is that people in power have monopoly on other products and don’t want no competition.

Modern paper could be made in a very ecological. Way, without cutting down forests and the use of chemicals. By using the marijuana plant we don’t need insecticides ore chemicals and the paper we obtain is very time resistant (thousands of years), the plant can be transformed in a biodegradable plastic, and multiple construction materials.

We should replace the nylon fishing nets by nets and cables made out of the marijuana plant that are also biodegradable, tissue can be produced without pollution, it’s not so with cotton, think of lake Aral the biggest interior sea of drinking water that was polluted and will be for another hundred years ore so by cotton tissue producing.

The marijuana plant can produce, a very digest sort of bread (25 % protein). This can be kept longtime and has a high nutritive value. The proteins are complete and a combination of amino acids that will stimulate the immunity system.

The plants contains 30 – 35% of oil that was used in the old days to make soap and paint. The oil gives a clear and clean light and is good for the skin.

Marijuana is an excellent medicine for “Glaucoma” responsible of 50% of sight problems and 2 – 3 times more efficient to lower the press ion in the eye ball and without side effects.

Multiple scleroses… the control of the muscles disappears and you die of it. With marijuana the patient can get some control of his muscles and drink without help for instance. In the end it will be those patients that will help legalize Marijuana.
